Both also made the move from employee to independent consultant, attracted by the benefits of more flexibility, reduced commutes, and working only on projects in their chosen niches of expertise.<\/p>\n

But being your own boss isn\u2019t easy, and the insurance and finance industries have requirements that can cost more to comply with and take more time to maintain than most independents can afford. Add on the administrative, business development, and marketing aspects of running your own consultancy, and even the best insurance professionals can struggle.<\/p>\n

Navigating the IT requirements alone becomes a full-time job or an unaffordable expense, while ignoring these requirements means not working with the largest clients in the industry. The independent experts these clients depend on can also be the weakest link in the IT network, and an increasing source of risk – the arch nemesis of the insurance industry.<\/p>\n

Recognizing a clear and increasing need, Jody and Miriam created the Network of Independent Consultants – NICExperts – to give independent insurance experts the ability to be their own boss AND work with top tier insurers.\u00a0 Today, NICExperts members get the IT security, systems, and governance their clients demand, plus access to templates, processes, marketing, and open collaboration across a network of proven professionals.
